lauromon
I just got a gorgious gorgonian and I wanted to see what people have found best for cleaning them. I have an orange sponge growing at the base of mine so this means I can't take it out of the water. Has anyone had luck cleaning their yellow finger gorgonian in the tank? 10 gallon NanoCube 56 Watts 50/50 Thanks, Laurence Link to comment
iposkippy19
I wanted to know the same thing.... funny. I just got one and it is already starting to grow some algae on it and I don't know what to do. Link to comment

lauromon
so you think blasting it with the baster should be sufficient to keep any algae from growing on it? After a couple of weeks tiny green spots appear on the glass, is this the kind of thing I should look out for or is it more obvious? I know I've seen slimy looking brown algae in some aquariums but so far not in mine. Link to comment
dweakl01
I have yellow finger gorgonians as well. I usually let the hermits tend to them. If they get too bad, I will just clean the dead skin off with my hand while they are in the tank. Link to comment
dhoffroad
yea it is just one thing yu WILL have to do I just reach in and rub the alge off with my fingers I don't think a baster will do a good enough job I do it on both my yellow and red gorgonian's once a week. good luck.
