Recovering from Ich

HI All,

 

About 2 weeks ago, I lost all 3 fish in my 20H to ich (2 sm. ocelaris clowns, royal gramma). How long should I wait before trying to another fish.

Ammonia 0

Nitrite 0

Nitrate 5

Calcium ~415

Alk 9 dkh

PH 8.1

Temp 80

are you sure it was ich and not velvet? if so, ya should be fine now. stirr up the water and do a w/c or siphon the water about a 1/2 inch off the surface of the sand just incase there are any cycst there.

 

errr lemme rephrase that so ya dont drain yer tank HAHAH !

do a W/c while siphoning with the tip just off the surface of the sand. do a 20 % w/c. ya should be fine

Thanks. I did a 4 gal. (20%) water change and will probably replace the Royal Gramma tomorrow. Perhaps the clown fish will come in November.
