davinaster
OK - we know that rics are carnivorous, but how do they get their food out in the Big Blue? We know that no one is gently placing mysis or Formula One on their mouths. Their tentacles are way too thick and bulbous for filterfeeding zooplankton. I think tonight I saw the answer. There were little buggies crawling all over my new pink ric's rock. It lifted itself up off the rock and actively went after them! I swear it was hunting for dinner. Yesterday it did the same thing to my conch - pulled up 1/2" off the rock and went after it. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Link to comment
BKtomodachi
Actually, I'd say rics would be more than fine without feeding... but mine always eats the shimp moults and looks fat anyway! Link to comment
jaykay
hey davinaster, is your pink ricordia a solid pink, or striped? Link to comment
davinaster
I've got two, brand new from the LFS, and they're solid. One's really pink, the other's more orangy: Link to comment
