SCUBADIVER
About two months ago, I bought some live rock that had this little spec of what seemed to be fan coral. Well, now this thing is huge and I dont know what it is. I have not been able to find anything on it on the internet and need some help identifying it. Can someone please help me out with this? Thanks, Aaron Link to comment
tinyreef
looks pretty cool whatever it is. red macroalgae? i'm assuming it doesn't blanch, move or anything when you touch it, right? have you tried trimming it a bit? does it recede at night? Link to comment
SCUBADIVER
No, I havnt tried to trim it because it is so nice looking. I am going to have to soon though, before it takes over my tank. Yes, it does move, not around the tank, but it is not rigid at all. It is very soft, almost like silk, when you touch it but it dosnt recede or retract to anything. Not like my hammer or colt corals. Its just this big soft, fluffy THING that sways side to side with the current. Something else to add is that my new clowns have seem to taken to it as their host. Link to comment
