SeaFish Posted October 19, 2002 Share Posted October 19, 2002 now that my twin spot goby is dead ( my only sand sifter). what other kind of goby can i get that will sift my sand on a continous basis? i need it to fit my 12 gallon tank. anyone have any suggestions? Link to comment

Especially if you just had a fresh big batch of ammonia dumped into your system from a dead goby that you can't get out. Do what ever you can to get it out. As far as sand sifting goes, your nocturnal critters, pods worms etc, will sift the sand far more thoroughly than anyone one fish. In my 20, I have nassaurius, ceriths, and queen conchs, which all sift pretty well without adding too much to the bio load. good luck;) Link to comment
