donoree
i bought this neat pink looking coral at Tong's... it was soft and spongy but was shaped like an acro it was doing well for a week but last night it started sliming up and dissolving. i called Tong's and they said that to bring it up closer to the light (when they told me to keep it down at the bottom of the tank) in an area with more flow. but alas, the poor pink coral melted away. i think they called it a "cadilya"? i tried looking it up with no success. tested my water and everything checked out ok the rest of my corals were doing fine too (candy cane, frogspawn, xenia, flower pot, zoos). my clam was happy too. anyone have any info? FAC_WNY
Hmmmm... Could it be "Cladiella spp."? Usually Cladiella coltii. Colt coral. They're a soft coral that sometimes just "melts" away like Xenia, for no apparent reason as well. Cheer, Fred Link to comment
