jdav
Ok So I have a really healthy sun coral in my tank. It has grown about 12 new polyps since I put it in the tank a few months ago and it always opens up around 8:00 at night (4 hours before the light goes off!). anyways, about 2 weeks ago it started to look like the skeleton was getting to big for the membrane and it started to look like it was being pulled. Now, you can see the skeleton in between the polyps in a bunch of places. it's not that red color that they normally turn when they are dying, it's white like clorox white and it still looks really healthy. the polyps still open up everynight at the same time and there have yet to be any problems with it as far as it acting funny goes. Basically, the coral doesn't seem to be caring to much that it's turning white and the polyps are all still bright orange and open everynight. also, my water parameters are 0/0/<10 and I feed it at least 3 times a week with either phytoplex or microvert. It also eats when I feed my fish mysis. I'm totally stumped and wondering weather or not I should start to worry. thanks for any responses! Link to comment
jdav
err, 32 looks and no replies. I guess that means that I shouldn't start to worry since it is still opening and eating. Link to comment
