Sushi Posted January 21, 2005 Share Posted January 21, 2005 yep, to my knowledge both are the same... i've seen both labeled as either "sun polyps" or "sun coral" as well. the scientific name is Tubastrea faulkneri. just judge both by their appearance, they should be the same thing... (unless there has been a "new" coral that just came out that looks similar! hope that helps and btw, if u get one, make sure that you feed it frequently! they're "impartial" to light (they don't care if there is any or not... it won't harm them), and survive purely by feeding on meaty foods such as brine/krill/mysis/plankton; especially during the early evening hours.
