redline
If one mixes salt water a week in advance and uses lets say "Aqua plus" tap water conditioner which claims to "neutralize heavy metals" and "remove chlorine" would that also then neutralize other cation or anions of trace elements in the salt mix? Would this be a big problem, and if it is should I put an RO/DI in my budget? Link to comment
Crakeur
you can use distilled water, which sells for less than a buck a gallon (in NYC it does, so might be cheaper elsewhere). Just make sure you are not using distilled water that is distilled in copper pipes. While a ro unit will cost less in the very long run, the distilled water method is fairly easy and doesn't involve any plumbing. Link to comment
