I aquired a toadstool colony consisting of 5 toadstools on a piece of live rock which have been doing fine for the last week.

now one of the stools has retracted its "polyps" and hasnt opened them for 3 days, i was wondering if this is anything to worry about? they are kept under metal halide lighting low down in the tank, should i move them around? i dont really want to as the others and everything else are doing great! am i being a bit para?

if the other four toad stools (sarcophyton coral?) are fine chances are the fifth will be ok too. it could be something just touched it or it had some crappie on it. if they all start shriveling then you start freakin' :P jk.

imo you should move corals only when necessary as location and altitude (within the tank) changes will affect their light reception and require the animals to constantly re-adjust to their new locations (~stress).
