MDPinUSA Posted October 13, 2002 Share Posted October 13, 2002 This 40 gallon reef tank shows a mimic tang, various soft and hard corals. This aquarium has been established for over 6 years. The tank is 100% Marine Environment dual phase formula. 10% water changes are performed weekly. No additives or supplements are used. The tank is supported with a skimmer that feeds a trickle filter that uses super BI OX. The filter medium is cleaned once a month with water taken out during routine water changes. Lighting was originally multiple flourscent lamps. Currently 185 watts with PC's are employed. Main color temperature is 6000K on timers from 7 AM to 11 PM. Blue (actinic type) PC's at 420 nanometers are on periodic timers from 10 AM to 6 PM. Photo made with a Nikon F, 50 mm f:1.4 Auto Nikkor lens. Exposure 1/60th (x synch) at f:5.6. ISO Kodacolor film. Also, I think your bristle worms are spelling some words in the bottom right hand corner. How did you train them to do that? Link to comment
