OscarGuyGoneNano
Is it true that Mandarin fish don't get ich? I personally have never seen or heard of one getting ich. Has any one seen one with ich? Just curious. Link to comment
sunnysmom
Mandarin are very unlikely to get ich because of their body slime. But just about any fish can get ich if the infestation is bad enough or if the immune system is sufficiently weakened. Link to comment
JustPhish
I believe they can get ich and I would say I have seen them with ich if I could be sure about my memory. Either way, the body slime is more to provide a defense against getting eaten rather than ward off disease. They have their gaudy colors and taste terrible so predators will pass them by.
