Baby Snails??????

I have found that I have 4 baby snails in my tank.

3 of them appear to have shells already on them, and they are very very very tiny.

2mm in length, but the are defintetely snails.

They have antennae and they are moving around the tank wall.

They look as though they may be conch snails, but it is hard to say.

Is there anything that I need to do to ensure that they mature and become a full fledged member of my cleaning crew?

I have another snail, that is probably 1/4 inch in length.

It looks like it is a really small trubo snail, but without the shell.

There appears to be something tiny on its back, I am hoping that this is the start of a shell, but I am not sure how snails obtain their shells.

Does anyone have any advice on what i should do for this snail, to make sure it too becomes a part of my cleaning crew.

Thanks in advance everyone.

I have acaptured a picture of the larger of the snails.

Here it is, is anyone familiar with this type of snail.

I am addicted to staring into my tank.

I find it utterly and completely fascinating.

The one without much of a shell is probably a stomatella varia- will reproduce and help keep your glass clean. It takes quite a few of them to do a good job but every little bit helps.

I noticed a bunch of baby snails in my tank a few weeks ago as well. I wouldn't concern yourself with trying to feed them as they will find it themselves (or die a la Darwin's survival of the fittest).

Enjoy them, pass out cigars and brag about your parenting skills.
