AktionJaxsun
As I understand, starphire glass is crystal clear. Under its current design my tank needs a lid that is to be placed between the water and the lighting. I was hoping to use the acrylic lid that came with the tank, but I have found out that strong lighting will probably yellow and/or make the acrylic lid really brittle plus absorb a lot of the lighting. I then thought that a glass lid would be better, but I would still have a problem with absorbption. If I went with starphire glass would that significantly decrease the amount of light the lid absorbs? Any thoughts are appreciated. Patrick Link to comment

prugs
Very intersesting, but the values will be quite different when just using a 3/16" piece for the top. Yes the starphire glass will let more light in. I know when I bought glass for a nano tank, the cost was for a minimum size piece. Link to comment
AktionJaxsun
Ya, the piece of starphire i will buy for the lid won't be that big. Do you think it will be worth the money to get starphire instead of regular glass? Link to comment
