renichms
I recently found an odd looking hermit crab. Its legs are black and white striped but instead of bands like on a zebra hermit, they run up and down the length of the legs, more like a red-striped hermit. Its claws are about equal sized. It's eyes are on stark blue stalks and its antenna are bright red. The legs are striped black and white, as I said above, and the claws look to be more on the blackish side. Haven't gotten a good enough look to see if it's hairy or anything like that. Any ideas on what it could be? It's very small and seems to be pretty active, especially when compared to my blue-legged hermit, which is tiny and can spend days in one spot feeding. RN Link to comment
renichms
Is it possible that this unidentified hermit is actually a blue-legged hermit that is somehow just colored differently along the legs? The color and matching size of the claws, colors of eye stalks and antenna match the blue-legged hermit's coloring. RN Link to comment
