Saying that you wanted a canopy that was simple, and would just lift off for maintenence you could just make a simple box shape and then added decorative molding to the outs side to make it loo pretty. I would imagine if you were to ask int he DIY section about hoods for your tank alot of people could show you theirs. Link to comment
