jenniebutterfly Posted January 6, 2005 Share Posted January 6, 2005 all will most likely get too big for a 10 except a mini brittle star, you could actually put more than one of these in your tank, but i would wait for a little while before you do it though so that they have plenty of detrious to eat. FAC_WNY Posted January 6, 2005 Share Posted January 6, 2005 Sea Stars (except for those little hitchhikers for some reason) have a very poor survival record in captivity...mainly because most are very specialized predators, not detrivores like most people think. Most of the time these animals only eat one or two species of prey in the wild, and a lack of information about just what those species are keeps us from providing them with the correct diet. Starfish, Urchins, and Cucumbers aren't really suitable for reef aquariums for the long-term. Cheers, Fred Link to comment
