OxInYourBox
I was just wondering if there was a way to get him to move to a different part of the tank so that he could open up fully. I'm pretty sure it's not safe to just rip him off the rock... Right now he's open on one side but curled up on another. The current is what's curling him up I belive and I'm guessing he's just too stubborn to move or he likes the spot and is intent on staying. Here's a pic thats a week or so old. He's curled up a bit more now... Link to comment
Dave ESPI
If ya can work its foot up with a powerhead , wedge a piece of shell under it. over a few rays it should grow on to it and heal. then ya can remove the other side. While its not 100% guaronteed, it works fer me in most occasions. Link to comment
reiple
Just rip them off the rock .... just kidding.... If you can remove the rock where the mushroom is, gently remove it from the main tank and place it in another tank (or your refugium). Cover for about 12 hours and make sure no light will be there. The mushroom will remove itself from the rock and try to move around. Make sure no other rock is nearby. You can now pick him up [ Gently of course.... ] and move him to another area. Link to comment
