ms71171
I've heard that they like good-water flow and i've seen that when I move my powerhead off of them they seem to pulse more. When they have the powerhead pointed at them they seem to extend more and pulse less. Is the correct or should I give them less current? Link to comment
tinyreef
i wouldn't point it directly at them as that would probably continually blow off their mucus coat thereby forcing them to constantly replenish it (work). a gently 'breeze' to billow the stalks versus a constant wind blowing them to one side is best imo. this is where your aquascaping and water dynamics come into play. the xenia or whatever (elegance, dendro, etc) should be 'downwind' of flow rather than acting like a 'windbreaker' imo. Dave ESPI
I agree whit tiny.... ive had them whipping in a powerhead before, but a slight swaying breeze (IE OCCILATIONG HEAD SWEEPER) will be best. Link to comment
