Doc Shake
Thats a Ca tube? I cant tell from the pic. It is an anemone and if its in a tube that means its a Cerianthus of some sort. They are cool, but sting like hell and will eat most anything. Mind your gobys!! Link to comment
OrkaLoca
yes doc it lives in a sort of Ca tube. I've not gobys so if it isn't dangerus for lps I'll keep it ^_^ Link to comment
mogurnda
Looks more like some sort of worm, maybe a nereid, than a cerianthid. I have a lugworm with tentacles like that. You sure the tube is calcareous, and not mucus or debris? Mine snacks on mushrooms occasionally, but doesn't seem to cause much trouble. By the way, cerianthids eat particulate stuff, not fish. Here's an article if you want to know more about tube anemones, check out this article by Rob Toonen: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/jun...2004/invert.htm Link to comment
