Also try using your camera's macro function , if it has one for the closer shots. The setting looks like a flower on the dial, or menu or whatever your camera uses to change modes. If it came with a manual, read up on using the macro function for closeups. Before you shoot the picture, use a tripod or set the camera on something and put the camera on timer mode press the button and back up lettinging the camera snap the photo. It's a lot steadier than by hand. Link to comment
