chufa
I have a sandbed 3-4 inches deep in my 12 gal. Today I had it with one of my cauerpa plants and pulled it off. It turned part of my sandbed inside-out, as it had rooted deep. Lots of bubbles came out. Should I be concerned about harmful effects, such as loss of anaerobic bacteria, or release of harmful chemicals? Link to comment
printerdown01
If it was a large section of you sand bed you might notice a small cyano/diatom outbreak, since you bed won't be as effective for a week or so... but no big deal... those of us that move tanks back and forth to college disrupt our sand beds every time . These guys will know the effects of a disrupted sand bed better than anyone . LOL Link to comment
