bdmiller
I have two ebo jager heaters that I bought from marine depot. One is a 75w, the other a 50w. Marine depot says they're waterproof. However, on the top of the heater it says 'Do not immerse beyond water level'. Are these truly waterproof? I have one submerged in my tank now. It appears to be working correctly. The model numbers are: TS 50 and TS 75. Thanks, Brad Link to comment

Walter
hey: If you don´t feel really confident about what Marinedepot.com told you, you can e-mail them about your doubt. Anyway, Ive seen a lot of Ebo Jeager heaters inside the water without any problems.. Good luck W. Link to comment
DogfacePuffer
I got a 125 w ebo jager for my freshwater. it's almost totally in the water, works fine for the fish. No electric casualties yet. Link to comment
hooked
I have a 300w on my 90g, 50w on my 2.5g, and 50w for my trash can I mix salt in. I have had no problems yet. My 90g never has a temp change of over .3, they work great Link to comment
Bocephous
it actually means do not let it stick out of the water past that line, that's the minimum water level. You can stick the whole thing in, mine is tucked behind my rocks. Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Yup I've always kept mine completely submersed with no problems -> that line on the heater is the "keep it submersed no less than this line" mark. Link to comment
