fish_rule
Hi I have a standerd 10 gallon aquarium. i was wondering if 4X13 Compact Florescent lighting is able to keep hardy corals. I haven't got the lighting yet. Also what bulbs should I get with it. Thx Link to comment
ross76053
Not sure what you mean by "hardy corals", but yes, 52 watts on a 10-gallon will be good for many LPSs and mushrooms. For bulbs, alot is personal preference, depending on how much blue you like in your tank. Ross Link to comment
fish_rule
What I meant by hardy is harder to kill corals. Thx Link to comment
MKramer
Ease of killing and lighting requirements are pretty independent of each other. THe corals that require no light are the ones that are about the hardest to keep.... 52W over a 10g is enoguh to keep most corals, tohugh. Just stay away from anything with high light requirements. You should be fine with almost all the softies, polyps, mushrooms, and standard LPS corals, though. Link to comment
