Dan_G25 Posted December 11, 2004 Share Posted December 11, 2004 Ok so I've ben wondering, do blastos gorw off of a skeleton or do they grow onto rocks because right now I have mine on the sand next to a rock and I've noticed 2 new little things (polyps? i dunno the name) but anyways it looks like the skeleton is running out of room quick so I'm just wondering. here's a pic of it: Link to comment
EtOH_is_good Posted December 12, 2004 Share Posted December 12, 2004 two types of blastomussas (wellsi and merteti). blasto merleti makes small polyps that are easily broken off. wellsi makes larger polyps that are more connected. since your picture doesn't show can't tell which kind.
