EtOH_is_good Posted December 9, 2004 Share Posted December 9, 2004 in a hospital tank, water changes used to maintain ammonia/nitirite/nitrates. you could use live rock in the tank, but must be able to get rid of it because it may become "infected". hate to say it but an active biowheel from another tank, would be a better substitute for lr in this situation.
