Narkon2055 Posted December 4, 2004 Share Posted December 4, 2004 im about to get my first coral (some type of zoo) and was hoping someone could tell me exactly what i need to do to keep them healthy. havent found any threads that answer my question completely, its been kind of confusing. should i start dosing anything? if yes how often? what should i feed them and how? grayout Posted December 5, 2004 Share Posted December 5, 2004 Just make sure you maintain high water quality. Nano tanks tend to have quick swings in water parameters due to their size so be very careful. Zoanthids feed by absorbtion, that is they will take in nutrients from the water column. I suppos you are keeping some type of fish/invert so that would help the zoanthids. They also rely heavily on bright light. This is the most essential thing when keeping these corals. Also, make sure your circulation is high as well Link to comment

EtOH_is_good Posted December 6, 2004 Share Posted December 6, 2004 zoanthids only need light. they will feed, but not necessary to suppliment the light. moderate water flow is good. i like to see their skirts randomly moviing. nothing like a palm tree during a hurricane. just gentle swaying.
