ms71171 Posted October 1, 2002 Share Posted October 1, 2002 Last week I added some of my first mushrooms to my tank which had been cycled for 3 weeks. Everything has been fine but this weekend I dripped in about a liter of Kalkwasser to the tank over a 2-day period. No PH spikes that I could notice from testing, but for some reason one of my hairy mushrooms developed a split and slipped down onto another piece of rock. Is this normal? What caused the split I wonder? All 5 of the other shrooms are fine, just this one. Link to comment
anthony812 Posted October 1, 2002 Share Posted October 1, 2002 First of all, welcome to nano-reef! hehehe Congrats! your hairy mushroom just budded/cloned/split/####ed off!! hahaha..don't worry, its a good thing, you will now have 2 mushrooms! The reason why i said ####ed off is maybe the shroom don't like the quality of the tank water and decided to slit off itself to find a more suitable location. IMO, its always a good thing to see your corals clone itself and multiply.. Link to comment
