mlblover126
will clown fish let the shrimp clean them and if so do they need time to get cofortable with each other? Link to comment
Physh1
Enough question marks????? ...lol Most fish will allow cleaners to clean them...it's instinctive. Yes, there may be a "break in" period so to speak... Cameron Link to comment
RegalFlush17
Most will allow fish to be cleaned by cleaner shrimp but the fish may not need to be cleaned. Cleaner shrimps remove parasites on the fish which is not a good thing in the first place. I would say it is good if the fish are not spending a lot of time be cleaned. Goodluck. Link to comment
cadesun
some clowns will not allow themselves to be cleaned at all. my maroon never has. clownfish have a protective mucous that helps them avoid being stung by their host anemonies. the theory is that clowns do not like shrimp scraping all this mucous away during cleaning. Dr. Saltwater
Clownfish are ofthen to small to be cleaned ... the bigger clownfish are more agressive towards al other living creatures in the tank, but that's my opinion. BTW. Why a topic about shrimp in the fish-department? Link to comment
