TNreefguy
Does anybody actually treat their RODI water with a product for that purpose. Such as RO right and if so does it really make a difference. Link to comment
Physh1
Nope...I don't. The salt and trace elements I add are fine. Cameron Link to comment
SaltyDawg
Nope. Just use some sort of declorinater. I like Aqua Plus. RO right is mainly for fresh water fish anyways like finicy discuss and fish of that nature. Link to comment
Meercat_Maric
I hope not, heck I go to enough trouble to get RO water that it better not need anything else once its got. My fish are living and sleeping better than I do - they couldn't POSSIBLY want anything else! Link to comment
Moi
What exactly IS RO water? Link to comment
Physh1
Reverse Osmosis...it's a filtration system where tap water is pushed through membranes that removes partuculate and other impurities.... Cameron Link to comment
wenhamjj
If you are using RO water you dont need to use a dechlorinator. The RO process removes chlorine. Link to comment
Moi
is it absolutely necassary? Link to comment
SaltyDawg
It does not remove ALL of it. It is always best to use it anyways. It will also remove any heavy metals left behind. No RO water is not a MUST HAVE item. It greatly increases the chance of a thriving reef though. Link to comment
Physh1
Originally posted by Moi is it absolutely necassary? No, but it's much much better than tap. Tap has all sorts of impurities that can cause numerous tank issues. RO, DI, or distilled are much better water options. It's cheap to use them so I really would. Cameron Link to comment
