Well I did it... 64W in an Eclipse 1

It actually worked (barely fit... I'm still working on getting the reflectors to fit). I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, it looks like the 2x28W is a much safer and easier retro job lol. For future reference if you wish to put 2 individual ballasts in the eclipse you have to cut the hood in a couple places, for cords (only one will fit through the existing passage way). Don't worry it actually doesn't look bad, nor will it really affect the hood... Anyway, just to prove that it did in fact work: http://www.geocities.com/printerdown01/64w.html
