When to add chemipure?

Hello All,

 

My 5.5 gal has been cycling for three weeks with Aragalive sand and Real Ocean water. After the first week I added 10 lbs of live rock that was shipped from PetSolutions. I tested my water and everything was zero except the nitrate level was 10-20ppm. So I think the cycling process is going smoothly. I would like to put chemipure in my Aquaclear power filter but I don't know if I should wait. Or maybe I should have put it in already? There is no carbon in there now. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

it would not hurt at all to add the chemipure now.... if your cycle is over, there won't be much for it to pick up, but it will polish up your water real nice. it will benefit your tank the most once you start adding your livestock.

id wait until it is done cycling. your nitrates will eventually go down on their own after the cycle. chemi-pure is just to keep the sh** low when you start adding livestock
