trailguide Posted June 11, 2002 Share Posted June 11, 2002 i am thinking of adding a 55w bright kit over my 20H. i was checking out the dimensions of the reflector and it said it is 22" long. does anyone know if that is the total length the bulb needs? does the socket and bulb fit totally in the reflector? i only have 22 1/2" to use this thing in. can anyone help me here? HuBu Posted June 11, 2002 Share Posted June 11, 2002 i dont have the 55W bright kit but i do have the 36W bright kit. the bulbs and socket will fit perfectly under the reflector with a few inches of freedom. Link to comment

trailguide Posted June 12, 2002 Author Share Posted June 12, 2002 trying to decide between the 6400k and the 10,000k i already have 30w of NO actinic. i was leaning towards the 10,000k. since right now i have a 32w 50/50 smartlight PC on it. i was also looking at the hellolights bulds for this as well. anyone have any history using these? HuBu Posted June 13, 2002 Share Posted June 13, 2002 hellolights are known to be better since they make real actinic compared to ahsupply's "blue" bulb. how do you want your tank to look? blueish? or white? if you want a blueish tank, i would go with the 10k bulb. Link to comment
