Seb8316 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 As you guys can see, there are some anemone looking things on my new zoa frag. I will do a freshwater dip right now. Any tips if it dosen’t work? I bought it as a frag pack, and i don’t see anything else on the other corals so far. 1 Quote
MrP Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Toss the whole thing. They probably aren't worth an aiptasia infestation. 1 Quote
geekreef_05 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Its hard to tell if thats aptasia from the picture. If it is... I recommend using an exacto knife or razor to very carefully remove the two polpys, by gently scraping them off at the frag plug and gently glue them to a low flow, low light area of your reef. Then you can ditch the frag plug if its infested. No amount of diping will kill aptasia without killing the coral too. Just my two cents. Goodluck! Quote
Seb8316 Posted June 9, 2024 Author Posted June 9, 2024 Alright then. I’ve already checked the plug and theres one at the bottom. I’ll probably take the polyps off, like how GeekReef said. 1 Quote

geekreef_05 Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Nice work! It might take them a couple weeks for them to open up and feel ok again. But you probably saved those polyps! woot! 1 Quote
