duganderson
I'm trying a small 12 watt Acke light mounted to the back of my 15 g. fusion AIO cube with InTank refugium basket. How do you recommend mounting this tot he back glass.? Do you need to allow air between light and glass for airflow? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LX1EO3W?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
I'm guessing you'll want to mount that to a shroud of some sort that can sit totally flush to the tank glass. Cooling is usually done via heatsinks on the back of the light, and it looks like the transformer is a wall wart...so at least that leaves only the LED to be cooled by the housing. You'll have to be creative with the mounting depending on your situation and available materials. If it helps, Coralife Bio Cubes are (were?) made to have a light on the back....maybe you can get some ideas by looking in that direction? Quote Link to comment
