Pom Pom Won't Come Out, Eat?

Hi! New here. My pom pom came in yesterday. The only other creature we have in the tank is a mystery snail.  It is a 5-gallon tank.

I got a pom pom because obviously I can only have one or two critters in the tank and I heard pom poms are social and lively. He's VERY lively, he can run like heck, but he just will not come out of his little corner behind the filter. I just saw him start out, then rush right back in again.

So he hasn't eaten yet. Will he come out of his shell? (Yar har.) Am I doing something wrong? The tank is cycled and it is clean, nobody knocks on the glass or anything in my house, etc. Thanks!

My Pom Pom hides most of the time. But when I feed mysis shrimp, it comes out swinging.

It’s probably eating more than you think.

but if you just got it, it may take a few days to get comfortable.

Thanks. He came out last night and he appears very healthy...running around! And he finally ate.
