InAtTheDeepEnd
This came up on my eBay recommended items - but frankly it looks too good to be true. Tap water purifier | Water filter | Reverse Osmosis | 5 Stage filtration system | eBay Input from knowledgeable folks would be fabulous. Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Where's the membrane if it's supposed to be an RO filter? Also claims to have carbon, DI, etc. Where!!?? 🤔 If you look at the selection here you should be able to get an idea of what kind of filters there are, and you will see one or two like the one you linked – with more accurate descriptions: https://www.homedepot.com/b/Plumbing-Water-Filters-Countertop-Water-Filters/N-5yc1vZ2fkpcj4 Quote Link to comment

Naekuh
Its not even a RO, its a Berkey style filter where it pushes water though a ceramic filter, only Berkey's uses gravity while im assuming this uses water pressure. RO systems all have waste water, and stages means the number of filters the water passes though, so a 5 stage means it should have 5 compartments. It feels like im reading one of those ads from Temu, where they try to cram all the possible words in 1 long sentence to describe a product which it doesn't even have, but is associated with. Berkey's are good filters for drinking, but its no where near the quality of an RO, and even then you want the added stage of DI for a reef setup. So no, that seller should be Banned or reported at the very least for false advertisement. 2 Quote Link to comment
