Ideas for new tank setup

All right, not an entirely new setup.

just renovated the house, and that required me to tear down my reefer 170.

It’s been about 6 months and I am ready to setup my tank again.
but I have a problem.

I am struggling to figure out what kind of tank I want to setup.

my last tank was a mixed reef with fish, and crushed coral substrate.

I can’t decide if I want another mixed reef, a nem tank, a SPS tank.

substrate, no substrate.

send me some pictures of your projects and what you love or hate about your setup.

Gear:

reefer 170

hydra 32

reefer 300 skimmer

sicce syncra pump

apex system

apex dos

apex ATO

Nero 5

Nero 3

If you're into dosing, an SPS tank might be fun.  But really, do whatever you are interested in doing.  You probably already have a good idea about what you liked and didn't like with your last tank.  I mean some people love RFAs, while I'm selling mine off (it's all personal preference).

You're in an excellent position to really take your tank in a direction that you want.  My only suggestion would be to only pick things that you are absolutely set on, and avoid impulse buys.

Pondering in the direction of an SPS tank this time around.

Anyone have ideas on must do’s and must not do’s, to save me some heart ache and time.

I am thinking about a single pillar type rock up the middle ish and maybe one or two small islands.

pillar would be acro top ish digitata mid ish and that’s about as far as I have gotten.

I have a small island with my ultra rock flower as well.

then I have to look at possible fish stock that would suit an SPS dominant tank.
