Hydroids can sometimes be a pest.  However, I doubt that it'll be a problem.  Biodiversity is a positive sign that you might be able to keep a BTA.  For a BTA, your tank should have stable water parameters and decent reef lighting; also, you should plan to target feed it a little once or twice a week.
