White ?worms? Sticking out foxface

So my foxface has had some marks on it for a while. They have now developed into white marks on his belly with what looks like 2 prong forks sticking out of it, it almost looks they are forming in spirals.. really bad image as he's a fast fella but have a look at this and see what you think.. 

 

It's not ich, I know that 

Eating and swimming well.

Definitely not sand stuck to the slime coat?

No I did think that at first myself as foxfaces so slime up a bit. But it's definitely coming out from the stomach. Once they have either dropped off or burrowed back in there is a small mark left in it's place.
