Sadship
Hello, after about a year of fish only, I took the plunge and got a “grab bag” assortment of corals in an eBay sale. One of the frags is a gonipora and was fragged kinda interestingly in that it looks like they took a colony and cut it into wedges. It has only been a day, so I’m not worried about extension or anything like that, but am curious how I can expect this to grow. Will it expand around the exposed skeleton? Will it grow up and out leaving the weird skeleton stalk? Just curious. Quote Link to comment
TheKleinReef
the flesh should start to cover the previously non-exposed skeleton, and start to look significantly less weird. Most frags I see though have most of that skeleton trimmed off as well. 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
That looks like it was dragged off the side... green Gonis can take a long time to grow out so you'll see the skeleton go pink before it has growth i think... Looks alright though 👍🏼 1 Quote Link to comment
