RickvD
Hello everyone, Today I found some pieces of my hermit between some rocks. However a part was colored and another part was washed out so I thought it died, just to see it in a shell just chilling a few centimeters away. I do however have some questions. A part of the hermit remains are colored, and another part is not. Is this something to worry about? Also my other smaller hermit seems to be eating it. Is that fine or should I remove the old shed. (I have a pretty small clean up crew). I have attached some pictures, it might be a bit hard to see. Here you can see a piece of him on the bottom side of the picture, but him in his shell between rocks more in the top. I would love to know if this is what a normal shedding looks like, and if I have to remove the old parts of him. BTW, is it even called shedding? Quote Link to comment
MrP
It's called molting. No need to remove it. They will clean it up. Quote Link to comment
