less than bread
Bounce mushrooms have begun to fascinate me. You take a normal rhodactis mushroom, $20-$50, if it bounces, the value (and beauty for that matter) increases 7-10 fold. Has anyone documented what makes mushrooms bounce? Is it purely genetic, and only existing bounce mushrooms can spawn more? Or can something be done in the care of them to create a bounce mushroom? Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
It only increases in value 7-10 fold if you pay (or sell) for 7-10 fold. Otherwise it's only a story about a coral increasing 7-10 fold. Aka marketing. 👍 Not sure it's the same thing, but metal halide lights used to do this to corals sometimes. This was before snazzy marketing though, so coral prices were unaffected and I never saw anyone claim it was a new coral when it happened. It was just something interesting to observe and wonder about when it happened. 😉 Quote Link to comment
