YWG possibly got snapped by Pistol shrimp.

So I have a medium sized wg in my tank with a similar sized pistol shrimp. I am not sure the species but it has pink and purple armor and long antennae . Rather attractive but not too friendly to pairing up with a goby. 

Anyway this morning the goby is acting strange , like it is trying to rub off a parasite onto the rocks from its head. I have had the fish for over 6 months so I dont think it has a parasite problem. But I wouldn't put it past the shrimp... Has anyone ever had this happen?

picture of the pair will be helpful.  Based on your shrimp description, are you sure it's not one of the mini reef lobsters?  if that's the case, they don't pair....fyi

If you can't get a photo, does it look like this one? If so they only pair with Curly-Que anemones and will not pair with gobies.

Maybe a Caribbean pistol shrimp which pairs with anemones and not gobies.

I also have a YGW that does this "flashing" or rubbing against the sand from time to time. I have no idea why they do this.

This looks a lot like the shrimp I have. Besides the color not being identical , all else looks the same. That is interesting it pairing with a curlycue amemone. It will be tricky but I will try to get a pic.
