Are These Barnacles on Snail Shell?

Hi all,

 

I just got some bumblebee snails and one of them has a hard growths on its shell. From what it looks like to me I think they might be tiny barnacles but can't find an image that 100% matches so wanted to get some other opinions. Just want to make sure it's safe to put in the tank.

Its time to make a tinfoil hat, before i tell you the next part.
