leslr Posted September 23, 2002 Share Posted September 23, 2002 Hi. Wonders never cease. I have a couple of new tank guests. As of late they are seem to be coming out of nowhere. Anyway this is the snail in question. It is about 3/16" long, very long and pointed shell. I also have another pic of it almost being supper for another guest, which I'm also requesting help in identifying (Mantis?). Link to comment

The other guest came out of the rocks after the snail from behind. it actually starled me at first at how fast it was.It waited a moment then scouted around in front of the snail and waited till it was almost up over the edge, it then kind of sat back on its rear and put out its arms like it was going to catch or hold on to the snail. It noticed me trying to get the camera to work and moved off a couple of inches and turned to try and come back, thats when I got the pic. The flash startled it and it took off back into the rocks. He is about 3/8 to a 1/4 " long. leslr. Link to comment
