pistol shrimp question

I recently got a pistol shrimp and found its burrow underneath one of my rocks and was wondering if there is any way i could entice it to come out more. I don't plan on getting a goby to pair with it since that would be too many fish in my 10g so I would have to spot feed it

Hopefully he was smart and picked a cave that food goes by or gathers in due to flow currents in the tank.  If not, hopefully he's smart and tries another cave.

 

(I'm sure he's smart....just keep watching him.)

I manually feed my clean shrimp. Looks like he's having trouble catching food in the water. And he was always outside and came right to me when he saw my hand.

Unfortunately by default they are extremely reclusive. The smaller the tank the more likely you'll see it during feeding time, but without a goby I would not bet to see it often.
