Friendlytank88
I recently got an arrow crab after my last one died from a tank malfunction while I was on vacation, so I’m familiar with them. I was happy to find one finally at my local fish store so I didn’t pay close attention to what he looked like. Come to find out he’s missing both his blue pinchers. When I asked around I was told they were likely bitten off by fish in the store. Does anyone know if they will grow back? my second related question is- since he doesn’t have his pinchers he can’t clean his head so now he’s growing an abundance of hair? Algae? He seems to be eating fine by shoving food in his mouth that he traps on the rocks. He can also catch the flakes. He’s pretty active at night but hides during the day. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Quote Link to comment
jambon
Hello.. crustaceans will regrow claws yes. Apparantly they regenerate during molts. I have no idea how long it takes. Quote Link to comment
