stefanP
Hey guys, what do you think about my scape? For me i think it´s to boring, and not high enough. Do i need more stones? I´ve a 18g tank. It´s a mixed tank. My pump is a Ai Nero 3, and the light ist also from Ai (16 HD) maybe you can help me 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment
debbeach13
Hello welcome to NR. You can absolutely add some height to the scape if you want. How long has the tank been set up? It will look a lot different once you get some more growth. 1 Quote Link to comment
seabass
Looks nice and clean. But yeah, it could use a bit more height. Are there any fish in there? Quote Link to comment
stefanP
Hey, My Tank is around 2ft big. No i don‘t have any Fishes. I think my Tank is to small for a Fish. Is it possible to add some new stones in my Running system? Quote Link to comment

At 18 gallons, it's certainly big enough for two or three small Gobies. Although, if you did, you might need a mesh top. You could even keep a pair of Ocellaris Clownfish if you wanted. But I might keep a single small damsel in there, as they tend to swim around a bit more (maybe something like a Talbot's Damsel). Although it wouldn't be suitable for any other tank mates. 29 minutes ago, stefanP said: Is it possible to add some new stones in my Running system? You can add rocks as long as you fully cycle them in a separate container. 2 Quote Link to comment

I like the current look, but I like any healthy looking tank!! 🙂 Any consideration past "healthy" is all personal preference – if you want the look taller, then taller it is!! You can add new structural rocks and/or you can add branching corals (or even plants) that will grow up into that space. I also like the fishless thing – my system was fishless for around 10 years. Makes upkeep much less work...and simpler. (Fish are WAY harder to be good at than corals IMO.) Quote Link to comment
