Chuckyyy87
Does anyone use seachem reef fusion2 for just dosing alk? If so how do you do it, also does anyone use it in there auto top off systems? Quote Link to comment
seabass
You can certainly just dose Reef Fusion 2 for alkalinity (without dosing Reef Fusion 1). It's a mixture of carbonates and bicarbonates, so I don't see any reason that you couldn't add it to your top off water. Figuring out how much to dose would require more calculations; you'd need to figure out daily consumption, total system water volume, the average amount of water dispensed from your ATO daily... Per their directions: 1 mL per 25 L (6.5 US gallons) contributes 0.176 meq/L of alkalinity Calcium is consumed at a slower rate, but they formulate the solutions so that you would normally dose an equal amount of Reef Fusion 1 and Reef Fusion 2 to replenish typical consumption by corals and coralline algae.
